ARE WE TO SAY THAT WE ARE THE 67TH BOOK OF THE BIBLE?

MANY PEOPLE MAKE MANY SOUND GOOD STATEMENTS. WE NEED TO BE CAREFUL AS TO WHAT WE SAY. ESPECIALLY IF IT CONTRADICTS THE WORD OF GOD. I HAD ATTENDED A CHURCH ON THIS PARTICULAR SUNDAY. THE PASTOR SAID, THAT THERE ARE 67 BOOKS. WE ARE THE 67TH BOOK. NO WHERE IS THIS NOTED IN THE WORD OF GOD! IN MATTHEW 5:16 (KJV) IT IS WRITTEN, LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN, THAT THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS, AND GLORIFY YOUR FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN. THERE ARE 39 BOOKS IN THE OLD TESTAMENT AND 27 BOOKS IN THE NEW TESTAMENT. TOTALING 66 BOOKS!

There are in fact 66 literal books of the Bible. Period. However, the pastor may have not been talking literally, he may have been making a figurative point that God speaks and ministers through us. So, figuratively speaking, the pastor is correct in that God speaks through his people. However, we sinners are not God's Word, mainly because we have sin, so when listening to a Christian speak of the things of God it must be tested by the Scriptures. Always be cautious when people say that they're speaking the words of God.
