In Genesis we find that the sons of God married the daughter of men. Who were the sons of God? Was marriage forbidden?

The sons of God were fallen angels. Angels are of a different realm than humans, so, yes, marriage between angels and humans is forbidden. Get yourself a copy of the Book of Enoch, and also read such authors as Steve Quayle.
